yesterday's challenge: Everything is alright? There's nothing to profound from but here's my quick response:
1. You're important: Yes I am. I have to be for my own mind, body and soul.
2. What brings me joy is: Sleeping in and also laughing.
3. Everything is alright: Today it feels like it.
4. I'm am blessed because: I'm alive
5. How's your day? It's rather hot here. Going ok. Looking forward to a thunderstorm.
6. I could focus on my skills rather than worry about what skils I don't have yet.
7. What would make you happy? Right now. A cool drink of water.
8. A positive choice I could make about my life today is: Undertake today's challenge.
9. Is my life in balance? It could be far better. I shall work on it.
10. I feel negative when: I feel on the outer.

Today's topic:
I was having a wonderful conversation with my beautiful besty last night. Supposedly years ago I gave her a book called 1000 Marbles, an inspiring story using 1000 marbles to reflect how many Saturdays we may have left, and how we choose to spend them. I didn't remember when and why and I don't even recall the book but she was adamant I gave it to her. I should be receiving it back in the mail some time in the future as she has decided to re-gift it back to me. This got us talking about the mail. Exciting stuff right? We are bombarded with bills and other not very astonishing junk mail, unless you're into that sort of thing. We email all the time now, get on social media, inbox, text, chat....When was the last time you received a letter or card in the mail box? The art of letter writing has been lost. Snail mail we call it now. We used to write letters pre-internet all the time and yes that shows my age. I think the last time was for my birthday when I received a beautiful homemade card from my dearest mum. The last time I sent a card or letter was last year when my friend got married. Yes my besty and I have very random conversations, but that's one of the things I love about her. We don't send mail to each other either, preferring to chat for hours yes hours on the phone.
I'm looking forward to receiving the book and supposedly I'll be getting my Christmas present too, another book funnily enough to do with 365 daily challenges. She laughed when I told her my blog name and she had a look see to find out what it was about. You're blog is very similar to your Christmas present. Coincidence? I'm sending a book back to her too, haven't chosen the title yet though.
So, when was the last time you received a lovely card or hand written letter in the mail box? I betcha it was a while ago.

Today's challenge:
Get two standard envelopes and two stamps and either purchase something worth under $1, pick something from around your house, write a letter/poem, draw a picture etc... and send to a friend. The 'thing' must be able to fit in a standard envelope and be the correct weight for that envelope. Write your return address on the other envelope and stamp it. It makes it easier and more convenient for them to write back. No excuses. Make it uplifting and positive. Await your mail. The best bit is you can pick a friend who wouldn't be expecting it, they might just get a wonderful surprise.
