Today's Topic:
We got a beautiful Blue Willow crockery set for our wedding 15 years ago. We didn't use it for a while afterward, but decided to. I think we only have one plate left, heaps of cups and saucers but that's about it. Yes, this expensive set is gone, dusted and no longer in our midst. Oh and there's those exquisite set of champagne glasses we've only used once or twice. I think it's about time I bought a bottle of Bella by Yellow Glen and partake in a sip or two. Perhaps on the weekend. I'm looking around the house with my minds eye and trying to pinpoint what else there is and there's plenty.
Conversely, we may have things we only use every now and again, but what about those things we never use? Those things that sit there collecting dust or are simply forgotten about. Years ago, I had over 1000 books. I got rid of the lot except for a select bookcase full. I'm now looking at them and thinking well, most of those can go too. Casting my mind, I can vision clothes in the wardrobe that I don't wear they can go too. I'm sure you have a house full of stuff, and some could deservedly be given away, thrown or sold.
Today is special. Every day is.
Our Challenge Today:
2. Pick one thing you could simply toss in the rubbish today, give to a thrift store, give away to a friend as it's been sitting there forever. What does your mind instantly hit on?
3. Do you think you take it a step further and really look at what you've got in your house/garage? Take stock. Use it or pass it on.
