Mind, body, spirit. How are you feeling today? Have you challenged yourself a little bit today? What did you do that was different to yesterday? Please comment below. I've also set a challenge for myself and for you. Should you accept it's at the bottom of this post.
This week I'm challenging myself to get up a little earlier each day. Make a new habit. I like to sleep you see and stay up late. My bedtime is 10pm and wake up time is 7am. However, if I wake before that and it's a reasonable hour, I shall force myself to get up, have a shower, get dressed and start my day. With the new year I've got some new enthusiasm and want to make this the best year yet. This means challenging old habits, challenging what my mind speak is, looking after my spirit a little bit more and taking more of an interest in what I put in my body.

Today's Quote:
I like this quote from Buddha. I must admit it's extremely difficult to not mourn the past with all it's many memories. That is just what they are though. Memories. You can't touch them anymore, you can only look at them. Of course you may still feel the emotion from those memories but that has all been created by the mind. It's also difficult to not worry about the future. As I keep saying to myself, the future is not written. If I get anxious about scenarios I'm creating in my head, I slow down and ask how am I feeling now. Is this potential future happening now? If not, let it go. I must admit it takes a lot of practice to live in the present. One I'm definitely not adept at yet.

Your challenge today:
I want you to pick a personal habit or something you keep putting off doing and make a decision to undertake that task within 24 hours or change that habit for 24 hours. Come back and let us know what it was and how you felt about it. Make it a simple change of habit/task you can do, where you can succeed. What will it be?
Ideas:
Get up earlier tomorrow.
Pick up your clothes and put them away, not drop them on the floor.
Wash your dishes tonight instead of tomorrow.
Walk to the end of the street or around your backyard for five mins.
Go to bed earlier.
Clean the car.
Make a new recipe you've wanted to try.
Call your mum/dad/bestfriend.
Have a bath.
Not drink alcohol.
Stop smoking for 24 hours.
Go to a place nearby you've always wanted to visit.
Meditate.
Listen to your mind speak, change what you say to yourself.
Do a puzzle.
Make the bed when you get out of it.
Go to library and find a new book on a subject that interests you.
What's your challenge?
Apart from my weekly challenge. Today I decided to stop procrastinating and get on with this blog. The idea has been in fruition for a while. Today I did just that.
